From FML to XML

For those of you who have struggled with the age old issue of converting FCP timelines to Avid or Vice Versa, Automatic Duck has long been a solution. (Albeit a pricey one!)

Well, word has come out that the Father and Son team over at Automatic Duck will be making its suite of Plugins available for FREE. You can now download this awesome conversion PlugIn for both your Avid and FCP workstation.

So now the next time you cut a project in Avid and your Director MUST use their baller new Colorist who only works in Apple Color, you’ve got Automatic Duck to run the conversion. Just export the sequence using Automatic Duck and it will generate the EDL and XML info necessary to pop it open in FCP.
